FoodAnswersOnline is a place to save, share and discover your favorite steak content in an organized and highly flexible way. You can use FoodAnswersOnline to :

Bookmark, Share and Tag your favorite content:

You can save and tag content (any URL) to your account in FoodAnswersOnline. You can access your bookmarks anywhere in the world with just a web browser and an internet connection. You can share your bookmarks or keep them private.

Organize your Bookmarks in Hierarchies:

Organize your content in flexible hierarchies. Please see our latest entries for an example of hierarchies. At a very basic level, you can think of hierarchies like the folders in your computer, but FoodAnswersOnline hierarchies have lot more flexibility. For e.g. one of the feature is RSS feeds for a single category in the hierarchy (think like RSS feeds for a folder!)

Keep Track of your interests (My Watchlist):

You can keep track of your friend's bookmarks or bookmarks of someone with similar interests like you.

Finding and discovering information:

With FoodAnswersOnline classification of tags in a hierarchy and by merging everyone's hierarchies. You can search FoodAnswersOnline (Whole FoodAnswersOnline, or your Watchlists) and find appropriate, relevant and trusted information intelligently and using our topic-driven navigation to discover additional points of relevance with ease.

Search Basics

You can start and refine searches simply by clicking a word or phrase in the Tags box on the left side of any search page. Each click adds that tag to what was selected previously so the results of your search are narrowed. Only pages which have all the clicked tags are included.

You can also enter your search term into the text box at the top of each page. FoodAnswersOnline uses auto-complete so as you type a dropdown list of tags which match are displayed for selection. The list is filtered into three groups (your own tags, those used by directories on your watchlist and all other members) and ordered by popularity (that is, how many times used)--relative popularity is indicated by a red block at the left edge, with darkness corresponding to popularity.

You can choose to search in only your directory (My Directory), only the directories in your watchlist (My Watchlist), the Steak Channel or in all of FoodAnswersOnline public material (All FoodAnswersOnline) by clicking the scope name above the search text box.

Account Basics

Your FoodAnswersOnline account contains your profile, membership settings and a directory. The My Account page provides access to configuration choices through which you control the appearance of your directory and settings such as your password and whether other members can send you messages through FoodAnswersOnline. Your profile page gives other members a higher level view of your interests and includes your Introduction (if you enter one), a top level Topic Navigator, a link to your blog or website, recent (logged in) visitors to your directory and the directories on your watchlist.

Directory Basics

The FoodAnswersOnline directory is a set of resources (generally web pages but also other items like image, PowerPoint and PDF files that have a public URL) on the Web selected by you, searchable for you and all your friends. The resources saved by you will appear in the watchlist of other members who add you to their list.
